The role
Lucis analyses more than 110 biomarkers, builds personalised clinical protocols, and delivers them through an AI-powered preventive health product.
As our Medical ops lead, you will help turn clinical knowledge into reliable, scalable systems that can serve millions of people.
You will work directly with the product lead, medical team, AI team, and operations team to make sure our clinical processes are medically rigorous, operationally efficient, and ready to scale across Europe.
You will structure how medical knowledge is created, reviewed, documented, implemented, and continuously improved across the product.
This is not a traditional clinical role and it is not a content-only role.
You think like a doctor, operate like a builder, and use AI as a daily collaborator.
What you could own
Clinical operations
Design, document, and improve the clinical workflows that power Lucis, from biomarker analysis to protocol creation and member follow-up.
You will help build systems that ensure:
Clinical consistency across members and markets.
Clear ownership and review processes.
Fast escalation of complex or sensitive cases.
Reliable collaboration between medical, product, AI, and operations teams.
Continuous improvement based on member outcomes and operational feedback.
Protocol operations
Help create, structure, maintain, and operationalise Lucis clinical protocols.
This may include:
Defining protocol logic.
Maintaining decision trees and clinical rules.
Reviewing biomarker thresholds and expert ranges.
Translating medical reasoning into scalable workflows.
Ensuring protocols remain aligned with current evidence.
Supporting the rollout of new biomarkers, health systems, and preventive-health programmes.
AI and clinical knowledge operations
Work closely with the AI team to translate clinical reasoning into structured knowledge our systems can use.
You may contribute to:
Clinical prompts and reasoning frameworks.
Knowledge-base curation.
Protocol logic and decision systems.
Evaluation datasets and clinical quality checks.
Review of AI-generated medical outputs.
Processes for identifying and correcting unsafe, inaccurate, or inconsistent outputs.
Medical quality and governance
Build and maintain the operational standards that protect medical quality as Lucis grows.
You will help define:
Clinical review and sign-off processes.
Quality-control systems.
Documentation standards.
Audit trails.
Escalation procedures.
Medical risk-management processes.
Clinical performance indicators.
Product and member experience
Partner with Product and Design to ensure the clinical experience is accurate, clear, actionable, and trusted by members.
You will contribute to the medical logic behind:
Biomarker results.
Health-system interpretations.
Action plans.
AI coach interactions.
Member follow-up.
Preventive-health recommendations.
You may occasionally write or review clinical content, but your main responsibility is building the systems that make high-quality medical delivery repeatable.
Clinical research watch
Keep Lucis up to date on developments across preventive medicine, longevity, functional medicine, and biomarker science.
You will identify relevant evidence, assess its quality, and help determine how it should influence our protocols, product, and clinical operations.
About you
You are a doctor who believes the future of medicine is preventive, personalised, scalable, and powered by AI.
You want your clinical expertise to reach millions of people, not only the patients you can see individually.
You enjoy creating structure in ambiguous environments. You are comfortable moving between clinical reasoning, operations, product, data, and technology.
You do not just identify medical problems. You build systems that prevent them from happening again.
You thrive in fast-moving environments, learn by doing, and treat feedback as a tool for continuous improvement.
You’ll fit in well if
You hold an MD or equivalent medical degree.
You have meaningful exposure to preventive medicine, longevity, functional medicine, or another relevant clinical field.
You have strong clinical judgement and are comfortable working across multiple medical domains.
You are highly organised and able to turn complex clinical knowledge into clear processes.
You think in systems, workflows, and decision trees rather than one-off solutions.
You are comfortable working with product, engineering, AI, operations, and design teams.
You use AI tools daily and naturally.
You can balance medical rigour with speed and pragmatism.
You are proactive and take ownership beyond the boundaries of your role.
You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
Experience in a startup, healthtech company, clinical operations team, or technology-enabled care environment is strongly valued.

You prioritise predictable nine-to-five work over mission intensity.
Practical details
Format: Full-time. We are flexible for the right person.
Location: Paris mostly
Languages: French and English required. Additional language is a plus.
The process
Introductory call (20 minutes) Culture, motivation, and role fit.
Technical interview (30 to 60 minutes) Discussion of your clinical judgement, operational thinking, and experience working with technology.
At-home case study A hands-on project to be completed within two days.
Deep dive and team conversations Working session and conversations with the team in Paris.
